Feds Start Foreclosure Proceedings on Rep. Phil Hart's Athol Home

Idaho Rep. Phil hart is now facing foreclosure on his Athol, Idaho home after years of refusing to pay taxes.  He's been fighting federal and state governments for years, saying income taxes are unconstitutional.  The federal government says he owes nearly $550,000 in taxes and fees, and they want to use the sale of his home to pay the debt.

Hart transferred the title of his property out of his name in an attempt to avoid the proceedings, which the U.S. Department of Justice called "fradulent".

The four-term legislator built the home with timber he took illegally from state land in the 1990s.
