Flooding Puts Damper On Memorial Day Weekend

Several popular campgrounds in North Idaho will be closed over Memorial Day weekend because of flooding and a lingering snow pack.

The Idaho Panhandle National Forest said this year half a dozen campgrounds will be closed until further notice.

In some places, there is still 10 to 15 feet of snow at the entrance of the campsites, making it impossible to get in.

What It Takes To Race Across America on a Bicycle

As preparation for racing across America in June looms for Team Laughing Dog from Sandpoint Idaho they have long planned to do a 36 to 48 hour race simulation with full crew and all the vehicles needed to get across the country. Everyone on the crew, with the exception of one person, is a Race Across America rookie so getting some practice seems essential to making the actual race fun and safe.

So on Friday, April 29th, they packed up and went on a 27 hour 450 mile bike ride.

Poodle Skirts, Leather Jackets, Classic Cars, Food, and Fun! That was what was happening on Friday and Saturday this past weekend in Sandpoint. There were Classic Cars as far as the eye could see and in the spirit of Lost in the 50's fun people were dressed the part. There were poodle skirst, long ponytails tied in colorful scarves, slicked back hair and leather jackets.
