Thieves Steal Military Artifacts From Rathdrum Family

In the last six weeks, more than 45 homes in Kootenai County have been robbed, with the most recent break-in coming in Rathdrum off North Church Road, where thieves stole items more valuable than money.

Charles Loesch is hoping the national spotlight will help find answers to his father's murder in 1995 and help find his missing nephew.

Gary and Barbara Loesch were murdered in the 1990s and police say their daughter, Tina, was involved. Tina's son Kristopher remains missing.

On Friday Gary and Barbara Loesch's son Charlies spoke to the Discovery Channel for a show called Deadly Sin. He hopes by speaking out it will shake things up and someone will step forward with information.

"Who exactly was part of … responsible for my father's death and where is Kristopher," Charles asked. These are the questions that have plagued him for years.

Brush Fires at two Post Falls parks deemed suspicious

Recent fires in Black Bay Park and Treaty Rock Park are being treated as suspicious to the Post Falls Police Department and Kootenai County Fire & Rescue.

During peak visitation, brush fires were set in Black Bay Park in Post Falls on July 11th and 29th. On August 1st and 5th, brush fires were set in Treaty Rock Park near the Spokane Street exit. The park features commemorative markers that showcase the historical founding of Post Falls.

Coeur d'Alene Police Nab Bank Robber

Just after 5:30 Thursday evening, Coeur d'Alene Police said a man walked into the Wells Fargo Bank on Appleway Avenue with rifle and demanded money.

Tellers told police he left in a car and soon after officers spotted that car on Government Way near Kathleen Avenue.

As the suspect approached Hanley Avenue, the Coeur d'Alene Police Department said officers performed a high risk traffic stop and quickly took 38 year old Sean C.

Kellogg Woman Sought For Deadly Post Falls Crash

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in finding Lisa Marie Calbick, 33 of Kellogg, Idaho.  Lisa Calbick is wanted on a $50,000.00 warrant charging her with Vehicle Manslaughter from a traffic crash that occurred on December 15, 2010 near Post Falls, Idaho.

According to information from the December crash, about 3:15 p.m. on December 15, Calbick was driving a car that rear-ended another vehicle on the Interstate near mile post 3.

ATF Confirms Linear Flex Shaped Charges

Area law enforcement responded to an explosives call on a St. Maries property north of the town in Kootenai County on Thursday afternoon. Wood cases containing what was labeled as linear flex shaped charges, belonged to property renters, Eric and Lisa Kelly who also own demolition company called Advanced Explosives Demolition.

Kootenai County Sheriff deputies responded to an explosives call near St. Maries on Thursday evening. 1,000 pounds of explosives were found on a property recently reclaimed by land owner, Verne McIlree. For the past year, McIlree says renters had been squatting on his land without any payment.
