Come Fly Away Review

Come Fly Away Review

Saucy, sassy and sexy! That's the best way to describe Come Fly Away. Whoooo, I had no idea that I was going to see so much - wink, wink know what I mean. The show, directed and choreographed by Twyla Tharp, included Sinatra's classics with a live band and beautiful dancers setting the scene.

And a scene it was. I wondered if there'd be much of a plot without any dialogue, but the characters did just fine letting us know exactly what was happening. The plot: a Saturday night at the bar. If you're over 21, you know exactly what that looks like. Flirting, fighting, drinking, making-up, and all the things that come with making-up - wink.

Local Artists Make Fashion Out of Trash

Local Artists Make Fashion Out of Trash

For one night this month, North Idaho was too sexy for Milan, New York and Japan. The Idaho Panhandle got their share of eco-friendly attire on Friday, October 14th, during a sold-out fashion show. The runway photos are in.

Every year, Kootenai Environmental Alliance hosts Junk2Funk, a collection of runway fashion created from trash and recycled materials.

Local artists used a menagerie of materials including candy wrappers, paper bags and used bike tubes.

Photo Gallery: That might not sound like fashion, but take a look at the photos from the event and you’ll think otherwise.
