It started when the Wellness Center changed their mascot situation from the “Warriors” to the “Knights.”

The official mascot change will not happen mid-year, instead the district will wait until the following school year for the changes to go into effect.

Voter registration deadline is Friday

Voter registration deadline is Friday

It might save you time during election day to make sure you’re registered to vote in Kootenai County by Friday, October 14th.

County clerk, Cliff Hayes, says a citizen can both register and vote on the same day at the elections office or at their polling place, but they’ll have to bring along required documents such as a photo identification card and proof of residency.

To avoid that hassle, citizens can complete their voter registration card and return it to the elections office by 5 p.m. on Friday. Completed registers will be added to the poll books.

Abstentee voters can vote in person starting Monday, October 17th through Friday including Saturday dates on the 22nd and 29th.
